As an educator, writer, inspirational speaker and spiritual life coach, I created the Sound of Wisdom site to share light and love with all who visit.  I offer customized presentations for your organization, workshops, my book of poems (Lifescapes), my new novel (All My Husbands), a newsletter and a monthly blog.   I encourage you to share what is on your mind in response to my offerings and questions.  I also provide you with a wonderful opportunity to be a guest blogger on this site.

A former urban school superintendent, I earned a bachelor's degree from Talladega College and a master's degree from the University of Maryland. Later, I earned a second master's degree and a doctorate from Harvard University.   My spiritual development has progressed side by side with my intellect.

I am a mother and grandmother, a world traveler, a racewalker, a gardener, a church and community volunteer, a lover of the arts and a seer. I enjoy life in all its variety. I love helping others to live their lives to the max.

I regularly manifest the things and experiences that I envision. If I can see it clearly, I can create it by accessing my divine connection to God. What would you like to manifest? When the student is ready, the teacher appears. I am here to help you.

Here are pictures from my recent trip to New Orleans. I went there to familiarize myself with the streets that Lila saw when she visited NOLA in Book Two of All My Husbands. I am now writing about Lila's experiences, picking up where Book One left off. In case you're curious, the fruits of my former trip to Brazil will be apparent in Book Two as well.
