The Freezer
Fear is "the freezer." When you hold back or try to forget about some action you are afraid to take,
all of your intentions slow to a crawl. If you continue to resist what you obviously need to do, many functions grind
to a halt. Your hopes, dreams and everyday routines are frozen. Fear sucks up your energy.
You wonder why your life is not moving forward, not realizing that your point of resistance has affected every aspect of your
activities. Relationships suffer. Routine tasks are unfinished. Clutter accumulates. Your job performance
suffers. How do you know what is causing the freeze? Sit in a quiet
space. Take a couple of deep breaths and close your eyes. Roll your shoulders and let them drop. When you
feel relaxed, ask yourself what action you are afraid to take. Sit quietly and wait for the answer. If it
does not come in five minutes, open your eyes and follow your daily routine. The answer will come when your defenses
are down. When you uncover the fear, write down the steps you will
take to resolve the backlog in the freezer. Develop a schedule for completing each step. Then, set an intention
to follow the schedule. Each morning and evening, repeat this affirmation: "I release my fear of _________________.
I am bravely resolving this matter step by step. I am free. I am now a warm, energetic and fully functioning person.
The freezer is gone. Thank you, God." Celebrate your freedom. Love and light, Patricia Churchill
