PERSONAL CHANGE
We
live in the midst of change. As the crocuses and lilies launch their exuberant display
of spring colors, we are reminded that only a month ago they were underground. In colder climates, they
still are below the surface gathering energy, transforming themselves, and preparing for a grand entrance.
In my own life, I have been underground researching and writing my first novel, All My Husbands. My
recent solo trip to Sao Paulo, Brazil was part of that research. I needed to feel the atmosphere of the
place where one of my characters, Luis, lives. I finished his story there. Now, I am excited about sending copies of
my book draft to selected editors for their review and suggestions. By summer, the novel will emerge from
its creation stage to be published and distributed.
In what ways are you changing and
growing? Your creative transformation does not have to be dramatic. The important thing
is that you are open to possibilities and choices outside your usual routine. Otherwise, the world will
move past you, rendering you irrelevant. The potential for a shift in your life can be activated with your next thought, your
next emotion, or even your next breath.
Some things are timeless and eternal like love and truth. Yet, even eternal
verities exist in the present moment. Live your love and
truth! Your decision to act today can influence a change in the world tomorrow. You
are that powerful.
Love and light,
Pat Churchill
